[E2010] Keep User Properties
Hello.
I am developing an addin in outlook than sets an user property that i catch in a transport agent. Until this point everything works as intended but when i get the mail from the exchange server, my property is not there anymore.
I know that the server can be configured to drop all user properties based on given rules but, unfortunately, i do not know how to do this (nor do i know exactly what to search).
Can anyone help me in configuring the server in such manner that it keeps all the user properties on every email? (internal or external)
Thank you
Florin

Hi,
I have a little unclear so I want to check with you:
You have developed an add-in, install it in outlook, set a user’s property using it and can see the property in the user’s
outlook. But the property can’t be displayed by Exchange server when sending or receiving emails. Is my understanding right?
Wait for your reply.

Hi and thanks for answering.
It is slightly off. The addin part is correct. On the server i manage to get the email object in the RiverRaftAgent_OnEndOfData event of a transport agent and inspect the property value.
The problem is that after the email passes this event and get's back to another outlook client with the addin installed the property that i set is not there anymore.
Initially i thought that i am making something wrong in the agent, but this happens even when i am not using the agent. For test reasons i used a pop3/smtp server too and on that all it works perfectly (this was to prove it is not an addin problem).
So what i would like is to configure the exchange server in such manner that it lets the emails exactly how it receives them. To not strip user properties from the email, to not change winmail.dat
